Rather than sending out a mass email that none of you will read, I'm using my little soap box here to pose the inevitable question:

What is everyone up to for New Years?

And no, I'm not that irritating girl who always has to have an awesome plan, who expects New Years to be this awesome deal full of awesome parties and awesome exploits. I know it's not awesome. And I know it usually sucks. But I'd like it to suck with my friends this year. So... If you're interested in doing something with me, or if you have ideas about what to do, please email me, or post them here for all to see.

So that means you: Fingers, Free Samples, Poomobile, Big Guy, Lady G, Manrissa, and all those anonymous' out there (no insult to you Sleeves, Hurr_ah, Ash, Violette, or Pants--I just know you'll all be miles and miles away from little wee me, and that some of us can't be in Cuba...)

So, yea... That's it.

So I'll start.

I would like:

1. To stay local.
2. To limit my spending to a reasonable amount.
3. To look nice, i.e. no jogging pants.

I would not like:

1. To go to Toronto.
2. To be the only single girl in the group.
3. To stay at someone's house I don't know.

You?

Well, fancy that. No one replied. I know you're all reading this... Hmm? So what's the excuse? Hmm? Well, hows about I just don't update until you post something? Hmm? Take that, blog lurkers!

I'm having Christmas in Kerrobert at New Years. I don't want to go to Toronto either. ? And I don't want to wear jogging pants.

Please don't punish me by not updating your blog! please?

I'll talk directly to you about ridiculous things, Pants. We don't need the blog... Although, I'm pretty sure there are some people out there who may or may not be addicted to checking it...

I'll be in Mexico for New Year's! But I didn't think you were actually looking for my input. :) Though I strongly recommend Mexico for New Year's.

I didn't comment originally cuz it probably won't help you out...but, we're having a huge drunken board games party at our house. It seems right up your alley (and you wouldn't even be the only single girl there). Sadly, we are in Alberta, and it seems like a commute. We'd be happy to have you if you were in the neighbourhood, though. :)

Board games...I see I'm not the only one. I (Poomobile) am more than willing to have peeps to my place for board games followed by a night in town (Dundas). There is also a party that we could go to in Grimsby. There will be single people but it's in GRIMSBY which is an expensive cab home...not sure if it's worth it.

Thank you to my ALBERTA friends for commenting.

And thank goodness for Poomobile, the only one this side of Manitoba who apparently wants anything to do with me... Whatevs.

I (Big Guy) thought we already decided on a Dundas party on Monday night? Am I crazy?

It's true, Big Guy. It's true. We did. But Poomobile wondered who would come to a board games/piniata night, and I said I'd put out feelers. Le sigh.

I can't believe that I actually haven't checked this blog in over 18 hours. That is like record for me. Anywho - Lady G has NO new years plans - like you I know it is always a disappointment, hardly ever a good time and rarely worth the effort. However, I am driving back from Quebec that day. If these AMAZING plans start to appear then I will let you know in advance, however sounds like you may have committed to dundas :)

hey all, just made a decision... I think new years is for amature drinkers and partiers. As I am a professional drinker, I will have to disqualify myself from the event sit at home and enjoy movies and chinese food with my roomate!

Cheers
